Meet the Watchdog!
About Us
A little about me.....

My name is Katina Edwards and I have been a pet lover/owner (or
should I say they have all owned me) my entire life. I have had every
shape, color and size hamster , gerbil and guinea pig know to man,
fish, birds galore, horses, dogs, cats, lizards, chickens and the
occasional snake or two. The longest living pet I have had was my
sweet Burmese Python "Pumpkin". She lived to the ripe ole age of
24, which in captivity is quite a feat!  We even lived down the road
from a dairy farm when I was younger and the owner would "use" me
to get the cows out of pasture for milking. My poor mother was
mortified until she realized the farmer actually appreciated my
talented services and that I was faster than the cows. ;) My job was
to annoy them until they chased me down the hill...like I said, talent!

I grew up in a very rural part of Northern New Jersey, where I spent
the majority of my childhood, as well as adulthood, outdoors running
through the woods and mountains and swimming in the lakes with
my trusty pooch's at my side. I have what seems to be a never ending
thirst for being outside and keeping active...No complaints there
from my furry clients!

My mother knew well before I did that I would end up handling
animals in one form or another...due to all the strays and wounded
critters I would bring home on a monthly basis, begging her to have
compassion for these innocent creatures that desperately needed
our help in surviving the elements of life. Yes...I was that dramatic.
I am more than capable of handling most animals and their daily
needs, only because of all the practice and care I've put into every
creature that has ever crossed my path.

I currently share my home with my most precious jewel "Jericho" an
11 year old boxer and bff...who has been surviving cancer years past
his so called "expiration date" which I like to attribute to his and my
inability to give up on living life just for the fun of it! I also share my
home with two of the goofiest cats anyone as ever seen, whether
thats my fault or not, I wouldn't have it any other way. I have a
tremendous amount of compassion for animals. I love what I do and I
love that my clients feel that they can rely on me to take care of their
furry kids like my own. I WANT to help and it feels good.
